ANKARA, March 19 (Reuters) - Turkey's stimulus measures announced last week will cost a total 2.7 billion lira ($1.5 billion), rather than an earlier 5.5 billion lira estimate, Referans newspaper on Thursday quoted Deputy Prime Minister Nazim Ekren as saying.
The government has cut tax rates to boost sales of cars, homes and white goods to avert a recession in 2009.
Ekren also said the government has spent a total of 34-35 billion lira in the form of stimulus measures since the start of the crisis. (Editing by Jan Dahinten)
