TOKYO, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp, the world's biggest automaker, raised its group-based global vehicle sales forecast for the 2009/10 business year by 1.5 percent to 6.60 million units from 6.50 million units.
Toyota now expects sales in Japan to come to 2.02 million units, up from 1.92 million in its previous forecast.
It forecast sales of 1.86 million vehicles in North America and 920,000 in Europe, unchanged from its projection issued three months ago.
Toyota also said on Tuesday it expected the dollar to average 92 yen and the euro 131 yen in the financial year to March 2010, changing its assumptions from 95 yen and 125 yen.
The sales forecasts include sales at truck maker Hino Motors Ltd and compact car maker Daihatsu Motor Co, both part-owned by Toyota. (Reporting by Chang-Ran Kim; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
