MOSCOW, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Russia's net private capital outflows totalled $31.5 billion in the third quarter of this year compared to a net private inflow of $40.7 billion in the same period of last year, the central bank reported on Monday.
Russia had a net private capital inflow of $4.4 billion in the second quarter of this year, the central bank said on its official site www.cbr.ru.
First Deputy Central Bank Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev had earlier forecast Russia's net private capital outflow at less than $10 billion in the third quarter of 2009.
Russia's capital outflow was in a steady decline during the third quarter of this year -- it shrank from some $16 billion in July to $9.4 billion in August and to $6 billion in September.
The central bank has forecast this year's net private capital outflows at $42 billion after record outflows of $132.8 billion in 2008. (Writing by Dmitry Solovyov; Editing by Ron Askew)
