BUDAPEST, March 20 (Reuters) - Poland's central bank is still in easing bias and there is a chance for full-year growth to be positive, governor Slawomir Skrzypek told Reuters on Friday ahead of a meeting of the region's central bank chiefs in Budapest.
When asked if weakness in the zloty could stop further interest rate cuts, he said: "We are still in easing bias."
"I may not answer directly to your question but I feel and I hope that this year Poland will be one, or one of the few countries positive for GDP growth. It's still a chance," he added.
When asked what he expected to come out of the meeting in Budapest, he said: "I expect that our central banks from the region will extend cooperation. There are a lot of possible ways to extend this cooperation but we just start this discussion."
He also said Poland's first-quarter GDP growth figure would be still positive.
