SHANGHAI, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Police shot and killed a knife-wielding man who wounded three people and took a nurse hostage in a Carrefour store in southwest China on Saturday, the official Xinhua news agency said.
The unidentified man, whose motives were unknown, attacked customers and took one hostage in an outlet of the French retail group in the city of Kunming.
When a female nurse was sent inside to treat the injured, he took her hostage and released another person he was holding. Police killed him after a four-hour standoff, Xinhua reported. (Reporting by Andrew Torchia; Editing by Louise Ireland)
