LONDON, April 1 (Reuters) - The idea of replacing the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency was not raised in a meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday, a U.S. official said.
Asked in London by a reporter if the issue of the dollar's role as a reserve currency came up in the meeting, a senior U.S. official said that the issue was "not raised". (Reporting by Caren Bohan, editing by Elizabeth Piper)
