BUDAPEST, April 2 (Reuters) - Hungarian prime minister designate Gordon Bajnai plans a range of spending cuts including tighter social spending, freezing pensions and public sector wages, according to a document obtained by Reuters on Thursday.
The document, which Bajnai circulates in Parliament to secure support for his incoming administration, also includes tightening expenditures like agricultural, transport and energy subsidies, and tying pension adjustments to GDP growth.
Bajnai wrote in the document that he was open to refining and adjusting the specific measures during negotiations, but not to reduce the total volume of spending cuts, as that would jeopardize financial stability.
