TOKYO, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama said he met with Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii earlier on Tuesday to discuss fiscal policy and various issues.
Fujii, 77, was admitted to hospital for tests last week and later said he was "worn out" by wrangling about how to balance the country's heavily indebted budget.
Fujii told a news conference earlier in the day that he was still waiting for medical test results and that the prime minister had asked him to decide soon on his medical condition.
Hatoyama made the remark to Reuters at an annual gathering of business executives. (Reporting by Yumiko Nishitani)
