TOKYO, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Japanese core annual inflation slowed to 1.0 percent in November from 1.9 percent in October, below a median market forecast of 1.1 percent, data showed on Friday, due largely to falls in oil prices.
The pace of rise in the core consumer price index (CPI), which excludes volatile prices of fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood but not oil products, has been slowing since hitting a decade high of 2.4 percent in July and August.
Core annual inflation for the Tokyo area, available a month before the nationwide data, slowed to 0.8 percent in December from 1.1 percent in November, matching a median forecast of 0.8 percent. (Reporting by Hideyuki Sano; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
