TOKYO, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Japanese Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda said on Thursday he was unaware of any South Korean government protest against his remarks the previous day regarding Seoul's currency intervention.
Asked about the dollar hovering barely above a 15-year low against the yen, Noda said he would continue closely watching currency moves.
South Korean state-run broadcaster KBS reported that the government had complained to Japan by telephone about Noda's remarks in parliament on Wednesday, which called into question South Korea's leadership of the G20 forum given Seoul's interventions to stem the rise of the won.
