HONG KONG, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Japan supports the collective pressure on China at the upcoming G7 meeting to revalue the yuan, a Japanese government official said on Wednesday.
"It's a collective message to China," said Rintaro Tamaki, Japan's vice minister of finance for international affairs, referring to pressure on China to revalue the yuan.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong.
Tamaki also said that increased regulation of banks in Japan was a concern, but that regulators had not worked out what the impact on the industry would be. (Reporting by Joseph Chaney; Editing by Jcaqueline Wong)
