DUBLIN, April 3 (Reuters) - Ireland's government will seek to shave 3.5-4 billion euros ($4.7-5.3 billion) off this year's deficit in an emergency budget next week, a source familiar with the measures told Reuters on Friday.
"The government will focus on dealing with the structural deficit next week," said the source, who did not wish to be named because the budget will not be unveiled till April 7.
"Around 1.5 billion euros in savings will be made from spending cuts and between 2 and 2.5 billion euros from taxation measures," said the source.
