VIENNA, March 31 (Reuters) - Troubled Austrian developer Immofinanz' pretax loss widened to 3.32 billion euros ($4.4 billion) in the nine months to January, weighed down by writedowns and falling currencies in emerging Europe.
The group had posted a pretax profit of 400 million euros in the same period of its last business year. After the first six months of this business year, the pretax loss already was 1.86 billion euros.
The main factor for the loss are devaluations at its fully consolidated emerging European arm Immoeast, which reported nine-month pretax losses of 2.28 billion euros last week. (Reporting by Boris Groendahl)
