WASHINGTON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Turkey and the International Monetary Fund are seeking agreement in talks over a medium-term fiscal reform agenda, an IMF spokesman said on Thursday as discussions continue over a new loan deal.
"In addition, we need to finalize discussions on conjectural issues, especially fiscal policy in 2009 and the policy responses in the event of a further worsening of the global environment," IMF spokesman David Hawley told a regular news briefing. He said no date had been set for an IMF mission to return to Turkey. (Reporting by Lesley Wroughton; Editing by James Dalgleish)
