LUXEMBOURG, June 9 (Reuters) - The European Union will show as much solidarity to crisis-hit Latvia as it can, but it first needs to know more details about Latvia's budget-cut programme, Greek Finance Minister Yannis Papathanassiou said on Tuesday.
"The situation in Latvia is difficult. The EU will show solidarity as much as it can ... We need to know more details," he told reporters during a meeting of EU finance ministers.
The ministers were to discuss the situation in the Baltic country, which has been under pressure to devalue its currency, although no concrete decisions were expected. (Writing by Marcin Grajewski; Editing by Dale Hudson)
