BERLIN, Nov 30 (Reuters) - The euro's strength has positive aspects and not only negative effects for the economy, Germany's new Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle said on Monday.
"It's actually a sign of the economic strength of Europe," Bruederle said after a meeting of state economy ministers in Germany. "I'm certain the relation will change again."
Bruederle said the economy ministers discussed the concerns of a credit crunch in Germany.
"There isn't a general credit crunch right now," he said.
Bruederle added he hoped, nevertheless, that a high-level meeting of business, banking and union leaders at the chancellery on Wednesday evening could lead to concrete agreements on facilitating lending to businesses.
