PARIS, April 22 (Reuters) - French Prime Minister Francois Fillion said on Wednesday the French economy would suffer a "serious recession" in 2009, with a slow recovery expected in 2010.
Fillion told France Inter radio that a contraction of 2.5 percent in 2009 was "probable".
However, he added that some sectors were already showing signs of a pick up and said the low inflation rate would help the economic recovery. (Reporting by Crispian Balmer, editing by Marcel Michelson)
