PARIS, June 9 (Reuters) - France's trade deficit narrowed in April as imports fell faster than exports and sales of Airbus aircraft rose, data from the customs office on Tuesday showed. The trade deficit fell to 3.792 billion euros from a revised 4.307 billion in April, with exports falling to 27.009 billion euros from 27.476 billion in March and imports also down at 30.801 billion euros against 31.783 billion euros.
Analysts polled by Reuters had been expecting a deficit of 4.5 billion euros.
Sales of Airbus aircraft, one of France's most prominent big-ticket export items, rose to 26 for a total of 1.364 billion euros against 19 for 987 million in March. (For a table of figures, please double click on [ID:nPAB004832] (Reporting by James Mackenzie, editing by Mike Peacock)
