BERLIN, Nov 30 (Reuters) - France backs the goal of reducing its budget deficit to 3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2013 but reaching this target will depend on economic conditions, French Economy Minister Christine Lagarde said.
"We came to the mutually acceptable solution which aims for 3 percent in 2013, cyclical conditions permitting with a reduction of the structural deficit of 1 percent per year," Lagarde told reporters in Berlin on Monday.
She added: "In other words if the situation is bad we can't reach that target."
