NEW YORK, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The euro fell below $1.4300 on Friday for the first time since Sept. 4, according to Reuters data, as investors bought the dollar amid Middle East tensions.
The euro last traded at $1.4293, after going as low as $1.4288, down 0.4 percent on the day. At its peak on Friday, the euro traded at $1.4411.
The dollar had rebounded early in the global session on Iraqi reports that 11 Iranian troops had entered Iraqi territory on and raised the Iranian flag at an oilfield whose ownership they dispute. (Reporting by Nick Olivari; Editing by James Dalgleish)
