NEW YORK, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The dollar extended gains against the euro and yen on Friday after a report showed a larger-than-expected rise of 151,000 in U.S. nonfarm payrolls in October.
The euro last traded at $1.4047 on electronic trading platform EBS, down from the $1.4103 it traded at before the report.
The dollar was last at 81.38, compared with 80.91 yen prior to the data on EBS.
Analysts were forecasting a rise of 60,000 jobs in October and the unemployment rate to stay at 9.6 percent, according to a Reuters poll. . (Reporting by Nick Olivari; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
