Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.86% or 5.3 points to trade at 190.3 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 1.74% or 0.02 points to end at 1.05 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.57% or 0.80 points to 51.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 5.72% or 11.8 points to trade at 194.6 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 2.29% or 3.30 points to end at 141.00 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 2.23% or 3.4 points to 148.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 94 to 77 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.38% or 0.18 to $47.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.43% or 0.22 to hit $50.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 11.44 to trade at $1278.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.3466, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 7.9640.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 93.72.
