At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.12%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.37%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.51%.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets were mixed at close. France’s CAC 40 was up 0.56%; Germany’s DAX shed 0.37%; Britain’s FTSE 100 declined 0.24%; and the EURO STOXX 50 rose 0.58%.
