Investing.com - The U.S. Dollar was lower against the Canadian Dollar on Thursday after the release of U.S. data on Initial Jobless Claims.
USD/CAD was trading at 1.0073, down 0.61% at time of writing.
The pair was likely to find support at 0.9916, Monday’s low, and resistance at 1.0224, Tuesday’s high.
Earlier in the day, official data showed that U.S. Initial Jobless Claims fell more-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted 397K last week from 406K in the preceding week whose figure was revised up from 402K.
Analysts had expected Initial Jobless Claims to fall to 400K last week.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar was down against the Euro and the British Pound, with EUR/USD gaining 0.73% to hit 1.3848 and GBP/USD rising 0.67% to hit 1.6056.
