NZD/USD was trading at 0.7856, down 0.53% at time of writing.
The pair was likely to find support at 0.7838, today’s low, and resistance at 0.8120, Monday’s high.
Earlier in the day, official data showed that U.S. Initial Jobless Claims rose unexpectedly to a seasonally adjusted 474K last week from 431K in the preceding week whose figure was revised up from 429K.
Analysts had expected Initial Jobless Claims to fall to 400K last week.
Meanwhile, the New Zealand Dollar was up against the Australian Dollar and the Euro, with AUD/NZD shedding 0.60% to hit 1.3523 and EUR/NZD falling 1.27% to hit 1.8537.
