GBP/USD was trading at 1.6258, down 0.65% at time of writing.
The pair was likely to find support at 1.6216, today’s low, and resistance at 1.6473, Tuesday’s high.
Earlier in the day, official data showed that Industral production in the U.K. fell to a seasonally adjusted -1.7% last month from 0.3% in the preceding month.
Analysts had expected U.K. industrial production to remain unchanged at 0.0% last month.
Meanwhile, the British Pound was down against the Euro and the Japanese Yen, with EUR/GBP gaining 0.35% to hit 0.8897 and GBP/JPY falling 1.04% to hit 130.16.
