MEXICO CITY, May 5 (Reuters) - The H1N1 flu outbreak in Mexico will knock 0.3 to 0.5 percentage point off economic growth this year, Mexican Finance Minister Agustin Carstens said on Tuesday.
Carstens said the government could lose out on 10 billion pesos ($752 million) in taxes due to disruption caused by the epidemic.
He said the government would offer measures such as tax relief to affected companies and that this would cost the country a total of 17.4 billion pesos ($1.3 billion). ($1=13.30 pesos) (Reporting by Luis Rojas Mena; Editing by James Dalgleish)
