MILAN, Jan 28 (Reuters) - A Finmeccanica joint venture has sold the exclusive rights to Luxembourg's 4C Satellite Images & Technologies to resell satellite images in a deal worth 180 million euros.
Telespazio, the joint venture run by Finmeccanica and Thales , will have its e-GEOS unit give 4C the rights in North Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia to sell radar observation data of the Earth, Finmeccanica said on Wednesday.
The data will come from Italy's COSMO-SkyMed satellite.
4C, which will have rights to the data for 10 years, will acquire a station to receive the satellite signals.
Telespazio, 67 percent owned by Finmeccanica, is the main owner of e-GEOS.
4C is a unit of 4C Controls Inc, a security and surveillance technology group based in Luxembourg. (Reporting by Nigel Tutt; Editing by Jon Loades-Carter)
