WASHINGTON, April 29 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve resumed meeting on the final day of a two-day policy gathering on Wednesday at which it is expected to renew a commitment to keep benchmark U.S. interest rates very low for an extended period while not unveiling any new measures to restart the economy.
The Fed's Federal Open Market Committee went back to work at about 9 a.m. (1300 GMT), a Fed spokesperson said. It is expected to issue an announcement on its policy decision and its outlook for the economy at around 2:15 a.m. (1815 GMT). (Reporting by Mark Felsenthal; Editing by James Dalgleish)
