Oct 12 (Reuters) - Estonia's preliminary foreign trade deficit expanded in August to 1.54 billion kroons ($145 million) from a 1.43 billion kroons deficit in July, the statistics office said on Monday.
Compared to the previous month, exports fell by 5 percent and imports by 3 percent, the office said in a statement.
Compared to August 2008, exports decreased by 30 percent and imports were down by 31 percent.
