LUXEMBOURG, July 1 (Reuters) - Estonia should be able to meet the criteria for joining the euro zone in two to three years, Eurogroup chief Jean-Claude Juncker said on Wednesday.
"I am hopeful, quite confident that the Estonian government will be in a situation to fulfil the euro accession criteria in two or three years," Juncker told reporters after talks with the Estonian prime minister.
Juncker, who chairs meetings of finance ministers from the 16 countries using the euro, also reiterated that the currency area might see a modest recovery from recession next year. (Reporting by Michele Sinner, writing by Marcin Grajewski, editing by Dale Hudson)
