LJUBLJANA, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Global imbalances between leading world economies are "a very big economic and political problem", European Central Bank Governing Council member Marko Kranjec said in an interview published on Tuesday.
"If an international agreement on balancing global current account surpluses and deficits is not reached, trade protectionism and currency wars can start," Kranjec told Slovenian daily Finance.
He also said he did not expect "a wider" banking crisis in the euro area. (Reporting by Marja Novak; editing by Tomasz Janowski)
