TOKYO, April 1 (Reuters) - The dollar rose against the yen on Wednesday after the Bank of Japan's tankan survey of corporate activity showed business confidence falling at its fastest pace on record to an all-time low.
The dollar rose to 99.35 yen from about 99.00 shortly before the data, gaining 0.4 percent on the day. The euro rose to 131.70 yen from 131.27 beforehand. (Reporting by Charlotte Cooper)
