Investing.com – The dollar pared its losses for the week on Friday as the debate on the timing of any U.S. rate hike continued.
The dollar index was up 0.13% at 94.23 at 03:00 ET. The greenback was up 0.21% at 100.09 yen.
The minutes of the July Fed policy meeting showed members divided over the need for an early rate hike.
Non-voting FOMC member John Williams said Thursday a September hike should be on the table.
"I think that makes sense given where the economy is," Williams said.
