TOKYO, Feb 26 (Reuters) - The dollar struck its highest level in more than three months against the yen on Thursday as concerns about the global economy prompted investors to seek the safety of the world's most liquid currency.
The dollar rose as high as 97.88 yen on trading platform EBS, its highest since mid-November and up 0.5 percent on the day.
The Australian dollar struck a seven-week high of 63.69 yen, according to Reuters data, after figures showing that Australia's business spending jumped in the fourth quarter. (Reporting by Rika Otsuka)
