NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The dollar extended losses against the euro on Thursday after government data showed the U.S. economy grew 3.5 percent in the third quarter, which was slightly better than market forecasts.

For most of the year, the euro has been viewed as a proxy for risk appetite, gaining when economic data is positive.
