Dollar falls vs euro after U.S. Q3 GDP

NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The dollar extended losses against the euro on Thursday after government data showed the U.S. economy grew 3.5 percent in the third quarter, which was slightly better than market forecasts.

The euro surged to $1.4754 against the dollar from $1.4725 before the data. It was last at $1.4751, up 0.2 percent on the day. Against the yen , the dollar gained to 91.14 yen from 90.69 previously.

For most of the year, the euro has been viewed as a proxy for risk appetite, gaining when economic data is positive.
