HAVANA, April 29 (Reuters) - Cuban President Raul Castro said on Wednesday that Cuba was willing to meet with U.S. officials and discuss "everything" in pursuit of better relations between the two nations.
But he also said Cuba did not need to make "gestures" toward the United States, which has said it wants to see positive "signals" from Cuba, such as political reforms, to move ahead toward normal relations.
Raul Castro has made the same offer for wide-ranging talks before, the last time on April 16.
