HELSINKI, June 25 (Reuters) - China Vice Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday the country had signed contracts worth $1 billion with firms in Finland, such as cellphone maker Nokia, and another agreement should be signed within weeks.
"We just witnessed a signing of an agreement worth $1 billion, mainly on top technology from Finland," Li Keqiang told reporters after talks with Finland's Prime Minister, Matti Vanhanena.
He said Nokia, telecom operator Teliasonera, and telecoms gear maker Huawei were involved in the deal.
Li said a business delegation would arrive in the Nordic country in three weeks, most likely resulting in new agreements. The greater part of the agreements, totalling $2 billion, would be Chinese firms placing orders at Finnish companies. (Editing by Dan Lalor)
