SINGAPORE, Feb 3 (Reuters) - China's economy could expand by 8 percent this year but it will be challenging to achieve this goal, the International Monetary Fund's Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said on Tuesday.
The IMF expects Asia's second-largest economy to expand by 6.7 percent this year.
Strauss-Kahn also told journalists in a webcast from Washington that China has more room for fiscal stimulus beyond its existing 4 trillion yuan ($584 billion) economy-boosting fiscal package launched last year. (Reporting by Kevin Yao; Writing by Jan Dahinten)
