SANTIAGO, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Chile's blue chip IPSA index <.IPSA> rose a preliminary 0.55 percent on Wednesday to end 2009 at a new life high and up nearly 51 percent for the year, traders said on the last trading day of the year.
The IPSA closed at a preliminary 3,582.98 points, up 50.8 compared with 2008's close of 2,376.42 points. (Reporting by Aaron Nelsen; Editing by Simon Gardner and Dan Grebler)
