VIENNA, April 2 (Reuters) - Banker Julius Meinl V, chairman of Austria's Meinl Bank, will be released on Thursday or Friday pending confirmation that a 100 million euro ($134 million) bail has been posted, state prosecutors said on Thursday.
"He will be released either later today or tomorrow," state prosecutor spokesman Gerhard Jarosch said. "The bail has arrived on the account. He will be released as soon as it is clear that the money transfer cannot be revoked," he added.
Meinl was arrested late on Wednesday. Prosecutors accuse him of having defrauded investors in 2007.
