CANBERRA, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said his centre-left government was ready to take further action to protect the stalling economy after unveiling a A$42 billion ($26.5 billion) second stimulus package.
"It is a strategy to which we will add in the future as is necessary. The government remains determined to take whatever further measures are necessary," Rudd told reporters in Canberra. ($1=A$1.58) (Reporting by Rob Taylor)
