TOKYO, May 7 (Reuters) - The Australian dollar hit seven-month highs against the U.S. dollar and the yen after data showed Australia's employment unexpectedly rose in April.
The Australian dollar rose as high as $0.7546, it highest since early October, before easing a bit to $0.7533, up 0.8 percent on the day.
It climbed as high as 74.49 yen, its strongest since mid-October, before slipping to 74.35 yen, up 0.9 percent on the day. (Reporting by Rika Otsuka)
