Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 0.35% or 0.055 points to trade at 15.720 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenet Group (BR:TNET) added 0.22% or 0.13 points to end at 58.68 and KBC (BR:KBC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 71.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore NV (BR:UMI), which fell 1.51% or 1.12 points to trade at 72.81 at the close. bpost NV (BR:BPOST) declined 1.27% or 0.32 points to end at 24.80 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was down 1.02% or 0.29 points to 28.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 76 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.85 to $1276.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.93% or 1.49 to hit $49.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.56% or 1.46 to trade at $55.54 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1728, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.8985.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.69.
