Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.45% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which rose 3.14% or 0.5400 points to trade at 17.7200 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) added 3.09% or 0.144 points to end at 4.804 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was up 3.01% or 0.094 points to 3.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snam (MI:SRG), which fell 1.37% or 0.058 points to trade at 4.170 at the close. Terna (MI:TRN) declined 1.19% or 0.060 points to end at 5.000 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) was down 1.13% or 0.07 points to 6.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 212 to 157 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.25% or 0.12 to $48.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.65% or 0.35 to hit $54.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.19 to trade at $1332.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1972, while EUR/GBP fell 0.72% to 0.9016.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 91.85.
