BRUSSELS, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Iceland will get no special treatment if it applies to join the European Union but any accession talks would go relatively fast, the European Commission said on Friday.
"Iceland will be treated according to it own merits, but because it is a member of the EEA (European Economic Area), its negotiations would go relatively fast," said Krisztina Nagy, spokeswoman for EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn.
