NEW YORK, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Major U.S. stock indexes were little changed in morning trading on Tuesday, as gains in the consumer discretionary and telecommunications sectors offset declines in commodity-related shares.
The Dow Jones industrial average shed 1.86 points, or 0.02 percent, to 11,162.19. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index dipped 0.74 point, or 0.06 percent, to 1,184.88. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 1.02 points, or 0.04 percent, to 2,491.87.
