Investing.com – German business sentiment rose unexpectedly in June, a heavily anticipated survey showed on Tuesday.
In a report, the Ifo think tank said its business climate index, which is based on a monthly survey of 7,000 companies, rose to 101.8 during the month, up from 101.5 in May.
Economists had expected the reading to come in at 101.2.
Following the release of the data, the euro climbed versus the U.S. dollar, with EUR/USD advancing 0.04% to reach 1.2318.
