NEW YORK, Sept 10 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended gains on Thursday after brighter outlooks from Texas Instruments and Procter & Gamble and a successful Treasury debt auction put Wall Street on pace for a fifth straight session of gains.
* The Dow Jones industrial average rose 75.20 points, or 0.79 percent, to 9,622.42. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 8.66 points, or 0.84 percent, to 1,042.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 20.36 points, or 0.99 percent, at 2,080.75. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Kenneth Barry)
