NEW YORK, June 9 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened higher on Tuesday after Texas Instruments Inc raised its quarterly outlook, lifting technology shares, while rising oil prices boosted energy issues.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 4.76 points, or 0.05 percent, to 8,769.25. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 2.61 points, or 0.28 percent, to 941.75. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 8.27 points, or 0.45 percent, to 1,850.67.
